Geez, what is with all the hatred for the Z? I personally like 'em. If there wasn't an S, I would get a Z. Regardless of whether the Z owners think they are faster, I still find the S one of the funnest cars ever, and after years of driving it, I'm still ecstatic of driving it top down.

I'm thinking the Z owner kinda quit the race after you got into 3rd. My mother's got a Roadster and although it's heavier than the S and probably not as fast as a regular Z, there is no way an S would be "gone" just like that. I raced a Boxster S with my mother's Z and pulled on him on up to triple digits. The Roadster is no slouchand runs low 14's just like the S. I doubt his top being down at 60mph was causing enough drag to make a difference either. That's more of a factor getting up near 100mph. Not trying to defend the Z, as I don't really like the car much compared to my S.

The S can run actually high 13s if your a good drive bro. Low 14s is for normal kids.

Good race. And btw, not all Z owners are haters or trolls We give respect where it's due. I think it'd be a pretty darn close race between a z and an s. I love them both and if I could have both cars, I would. One is just a lil more practical to me

I drove a 350Z Roadster today down at the local dealership...I actually liked it a lot, except for the fact that the salesman said it was going for like $5000 over msrp, so $46,000 for that car...even if he did beat you by a car length...I would pocket the $13,000, at that price, I would take a C6 or an M3 for the couple thousand more.
