Default s2000 owners

Why are all the s2000 owners so cocky. My friend has an s2000 and he is the nicest guy I know. I get on here and all you all do is make fun of other cars. Also you say you all beat a lot of cars that there is no way you all beat. Really there is no need to lie. S2000's are very fast. But there is no way they will beat c5 vettes or e46 m3's or turbo supras or many other cars that some of you claim you beat.

I have yet to see anyone here post a stock s2k beating any of the cars you mentioned. But maybe I just ahven't read all of them. Ocassionally, we may have one or two people that are in denial, but I would say the majority of the s2k owners here know where they are in the food chain. Just like Wisconsin S2k. I think he's honest about his races and none of his kill stories seem impossible or even questionable. Besides, he admits it when he knows he'll get his ass handed to him. This is one of the better boards of car enthusiasts, IMO.

It's all in good fun. People make fun of me. I don't care. Hell, I'll laugh along.

It's all for a good story and a good laugh. No harm in that.

oh before you start blabbering, if I remember correctly, the race where the S2k pull on the C5 was because the S2k was boosted, and the C5 is stock ( or really really near stock ) , we know where we belong on the food chain (well most of us)

I have to disagree with this statement. I owned an S2000 for 10 months and met some of the nicest people around. And this is the main reason I still hang around this site, the people are easy going and very friendly. In fact, I've gone to a few BMW meets since I got my M3 and I find the S2000 people to be much more approachable and easy to talk to.

The "cocky" S owner is the exception not the rule, I assure you!

If you spend enough time on this board you'll notice that MANY of us are actually well grounded and appreciate a variety of other makes and models...some lesser, some superior to our car.

Enjoy your stay...

You take it the wrong way. Hell, there are people I won't race, just so I don't make them feel bad when they lose, but I realize not everyone feels that way I will try and get peple with faster cars to show off, and whether they think I was stupid or not is not a concern of mine. I assume the hapless "victims" of Wisconsin_S2k's stories are like me, not really caring too much when I lose, because I got a rise out of someone.

bado2m3,

I've been lurking on this site for about 6 months (I have a MAD jones for the S )...anyway, I digress. The overwhelming majority of S owners seem very well-grounded and candid about their races - especially the ones they lose...! Please give these guys a little more credit - IMHO they are a cut above. More than just S2000 lovers, they are CAR LOVERS.

It seems to me that it takes a pretty talented driver to get the most out of this car. Is it possible that maybe it's not the S2000 that is beating other 'faster' cars, rather, the other drivers are simply being out-driven?

Food for thought...and my .02
