My friend has an A4 and he recently hooked it up with Katana Destiny rims, AEM cold air, DC headers, and custom Remus exhaust. We went out driving last night, i was in my S2000 and we came to a stoplight. As we launched he seemed to have better acceleration due to the 4wd but as soon as i hit second i passed him. I shut down at the top of thrid gear and he was at least 1.5 car lengths behind. I thought his car would be faster but i guess not!

 

You should of beat him by more. The A4 is a pig unless heavily modded. Now the S4 is a different story.

 

Sounds about right. He got you from the start and you reeled him in pretty easy.

 

tell me bout it i had my doors blown off by a modded s4...of course i was stock....only got a CAI rite now....but he just walked me so badly....damn turbo v6~!!!!!

 

i ran at the track with an A4, I ran around a second faster than he did. i dont remeber the exact tiem though.

 

A4's with a turbo upgrade should take an S2K at the strip no problem. My A4 runs low 13's with an APR Stage III turbo kit. But it sounds like this guy was racing an A4 2.8, which is N/A, even heavier than the 1.8T, and a real dog. Even with the PES supercharger kit they only seem to run mid 14's or so. Not many 2.8 upercharged guys actually run the 1/4 but that's about right from everything i've seen. So he should really spank a 2.8 with the mods that the guy has.

 

my buddy has a modded '01 A4 1.8t with a good amount of mods. ECU, CAI, Exhaust. No turbo upgrade though. Ive taken him in my lowly 328iS before.
