cool, great run, what are your mods? I believe it...Ive never beaten a vett, but ive been right on his door before, and if he would have slipped up 1 little bit I would have beaten him! Thats one of my goals! Im supprised that beefy v8 didn't track you down, but hey whatever not complaining. nice run!
yeah a similer thing happen with me, and i was like: WTF???
i found out that it was auto
manual? he would have to be really shifting bad(doubt it) in order for you to beat him
all in all, good race...

that's the advantage of the street race...
he slowed down to let you trought pressing his brakes took away his momentum, while you never let off... it's like him taking off 1-2 seconds after you... so a vette would have to do 12 sec 1/4 to make up our 14.
Good Kill

It was probably auto. I've seen bone stock C5's run high 12's in the 1/4 mile with the 6 speed. Brakes or not, he should have been pulling on you like you were moving backwards, especially once you guys hit 80+mph. Good race. On a similar note, I've got a friend with a C4 with some mods (gears, pullies, intake and exhaust) who I ran through 2nd gear with the other day just fooling around. I had just broken in the '04 and wanted to see what it had. From about 5k RPM up to redline, he only pulled on me about a foot or so, if that. It was very close. I was shocked.
