N/Apower that's one hell of license plate you got there lol. Def funny the DMV randomly gave you those numbers and phrase. On my S they gave me the #2382 which my mom pointed out I was 23 when I bought the S and my birth date was 1982 lol. Also plus on the ws-6 package was looking at one 5 years back but the car was beat to hell lol.

That's one awesome plate. They probably wouldn't have let you register that one if you tried!

Well, they had it set aside to "send back" and when I went to get my plates they always let me choose from what is in the box. I asked if they had anything unique. She pulled those out from under some work folders on her desk. I took them.

Yes, my WS6 was quite a find. I bought it at a used lot for 12K+TTL and called the owner who had it from 20-72K miles. He said he lived 20mi 1 way from work and it was all highway. Only did 1 burnout in it and never modded it. Sounded to be 45+ years old. Said he knew the lady who owned it before and she treated it the same. It is rare to find a nice WS6 with no mods.

Meh

Z28=C5 until 120mph+

109mph is NOT! typical C5 trap speed

I pulled 3 cars on a 02 5-speed GT w/CAI-Catback 40-100. I would say an S is = to him. How fast did you get up to and from what speed?

If he was auto he may have only been trapping 103-105ish. If you have a strong S and he has a weak C5 auto...there you go

He probably only had a cat-back. Vette owners dont need mods for personalized tags. Hell, I get accused of having a personal tag all the time...DMV just gave this to me...
Sweet

I was looking for a ws6 for a while, gorgeous for a domestic

Numbers in magazines and what Companies post is one thing, what they'll actually do is another. Conditions/drivers make all the difference.

Good race, i've raced a stock c-5 and hung with him fairly well in my stock '05 S.

I've also raced (what i thought was a z-06 just messing around on the interstate on ramp) which turned out to be a C-5 HARD TOP (they made a few here and there) which resemble the C-5 Z-06. It had some nice exhaust work/other misc. things done because that's all i heard (his engine) as it put about 10 car lengths on me.

But hey, it's all in having fun.

I disagree with this statement in regards to "roll racing." Let us assume a manual C5 is racing a manual Z28 from a second gear roll at 40 mph. This translates to about 3000 rpm for both cars (both cars have identical gearing and almost the same tire heights). Now, ignoring air resistance I will prove that C5 is in actuality faster at any "roll" speed than the Z28.

It is commonly known that the Z28 (or any other F-body) LS1 was vastly underrated. Most manual F-body

All that and you forgot to take into accound the parasitic loss the C5 has because of IRS vs. the F-bodies SRA...wow. (10-ish rwhp loss)
He gave the F-body a 10wtq advantage.
