Default S2000 vs Eclipse GST

today i finally got my car back! but no nitrous for me anymore so no "Nitrous FTW" stories. i raced a buddy of mine with an Eclipse GST with a T3/T4 turbo at 16lbs of boost. i've raced him before with my nitrous and destroyed him...so i thought i'd be able to easily take him out even without the juice.

so we got out to the interstate and i try to get a 45 roll but its more like a 51 roll to be exact. i was obviously in 2nd gear and i honk three times and we're off! i immediately get a half car on him until the end of 2nd. midway through 3rd i get about a full car on him, but once i get into 4th he starts to slowly creep back to a half a car disadvantage. i assume it was the big turbo taking over during the highway roll. we had to shut down because of traffic but i only had a half of a car on him.

i was VERY suprised. he told me he was making 240whp but i dont know what kind of dyno he used. as of now, i only have an Invidia Dual, Injen CAI and a short shifter. soon, i will have a J's 70rr headerback, 4.77's and a VAFC II tune so im sure ill torch him once we re-run if he keeps the same boost.

t3/t4...could you be any more vague?

I had a 97 GS-T as one of my first cars...it makes 215crankhp stock, with a slight turbo upgrade to the 1st gen turbo (14b) those cars can make almost 300whp. With a T3/T4 turbo on 16 psi, he should be making much higher #'s than 240whp unless your friend is an idiot and either a) not running a bigger smic or a fmic b) not tuned even with an old school safc c) has no idea about his setup so he makes up some jargon.

Upgraded turbo FTW... I honestly believe he should have murdered you because of this. I raced a guy on a stock turbo in one of the older eclipse GST's, 19psi...and it was a pretty good run. I'd pull a little, but thats a stock turbo. 16 pounds on a t3/t4 I would imagine "should" be putting out more then 240whp IMO.

You need to learn to be more respectable here. Your shit talking is constantly being reported, and needs to stop. This is a board, not the military where it is accepted to talk crap to everyone you come across.

I would never do that! I have kindly asked him to clean it up before, and his reply was "Its a military thing" BS! I know a lot of people in the military that know when to separate the language problem.
