Just curious anyone ever race one?

 

They can be fast if they are well maintained. Problem is 9/10 are pieces of crap. Ran into a few running 12s, w/ little mods.

Thats about GST but you will find info on the GSX as well.

 

Stock a GSX won't be a problem. First gen with basic boost controller and exhaust. Tuff cookie from a stand still but from a roll shouldn't be to much of a problem. Second gen don't worry till they swap the turbo. I have owned both and raced both with my S. Take a look at Buschur Racing if you want some good info.

300hp. Not that I remember. I ran 18psi on my 93 and just barely got by a GT mustang 02. The car was no were near the power of my 99 cobra. My car had Stand alone ECU, Good tune, Boost controler (electornic), downpipe, 3" exhaust with muffler and cat. Intake and hard piping, with a Supra side mount intercooler. The car didn't really liven up till the 16g. Then it was fast. Still really about as comparable to an EVO with exhaust. Wasn't that impressed so now onto a turbo S2k.
