Lol, yep there is actually a Video of him on the net somewhere where hes on the freeway and he just spools up the turbo and floors it, its only a matter of seconds before you cant see him anymore, its crazy, and that was before th3 800 whp mark. LOL, he used to tell me he used to go out and mess with street bikes all the time. But yeah there are sveral 600+whp MR2's now and some 700, I sold my LSD that I had sitting around to a guy that said he wants 900 whp

 

So say if this guy beats me in his MR2!!!

Is there any thing that i could do easily to boost the power of my S2k?

Something fast and easy!....... I'm getting worried as this thread seems to have turned in to an "MR2's are Great!" one!

The MR2 is one of the best for taking off from a start, few cars can match it at the lights. It just that its still a 2 litre and well, better to get something like a WRX or an EVO (like what QuikS2K did).

 

Add nitrous?

He's got a fast car, hard to beat that.

 

Back when i had my MKII another buddy had his nicely decked out (MKII) and had slip's showing i think it was either 1.2 or 1.6 60' time. As far as mods to balance it out... to beat him... kinda hard to say really. Just mod everything, I/E, VAFC2 would be a good start )Single tip exhaust at that), Test pipe, cooling plate then turbo or SC.

Well according to my drive comparison in GT3 (haven't played GT4 yet), the 3sgte engine spec MR2 dominated the s2000 in the straights. On a serious note, if you do lose in the strait, take it to the tracks or some type of course with a lot of corners. Performance cannot be measured on a straight line.

 

Lol, dont underestimate the MR2s in the twisties either, they make very good track cars.

The reason I can see the MR2 winning, is becasue of the TQ, if the S2K got a good launch then should be a good race. If the MR2 gets out ahead I dont know. They both weigh about the same and I know the USDM made 200 TQ stock dont know about the JDM version, maybe 220? Anyways keep us posted if you do run...or better yet.... Run Already

 

Well there aren't many facilities round here for track racing but we have a straight set up for a 0-60 run!

I will record it and post it for everyone to see! ..............

Hopefully it will happen this weekend but my s2k is low on oil at the minute so i need to get the Oil Pressure right for the Vtec first!

Anyway, Bets are on!!
