I was on the way to the gym and there was a little bit of traffic, I spotted these head lights trying to get in and out of traffic. Well finally he makes it through the traffic and now hes next to me, Its a S281 Saleen black really nice. From 75 we go and he inches up on me a little, My front nose is by his front tires, but not for long, I started pulling away on him until 105 where he was about i'd say almost a car behind.

We go at it again getting the same results give or take a few feet of distance aart from each other.

We go at it this time at about 40, the only difference being he was a car ahead from the start not letting me be even with him before he even took off but I managed to catch up to him at around 75 where my bumper was inches away from his at which moment he had to slow down because of traffic.

Next he follows me to the light where I had to turn around. As we are turning I maintain my favorite speed in first gear which is 25MPH. When we are finally even we go at it. In a summary, at 105MPH I was id say about 2 if not a little more than 2 cars ahead.

Finally, he tries to get me to race from a dead stop which involved stopping traffic behind us, not a good idea but I still did it. As Im pulling up Im rolling down my window and I see that he is with his girl and of course trying to impress her ( I would be too) However before I could even think to rev at my optimum RPM he yells 1, 2 and he goes(what a clown) but it backfired on him as he was just baking'em up in a stand still, so was I but my car was moving a lot more than his being about a car ahead by almost end of second, I guess sometimes you can fool yourself by trying to get smarter. and yeah that was was quite an impression on his girl I always honk back when leaving the scene just being curteous but I didnt hear a honk back from him, oh well

I couldnt really see but my real damn good guess is that it was the non supercharged model. I usually look for the 2 gauges sitting on top of the dashboard but I couldnt see in his car Supercharged models are doing around 13.4 from what I understand.
And yeah it was a loud saleen, sounded nice.

I never stop to think: 4 tiny pistons against 8 big ones. amazing, thats all,

 

if it was an s351 (the supercharged model), he would have walked your ass... good kill nonetheless (except for holding up traffic - good way to cause an accident )


fyi, s351 = 495hp, 490lb-ft torque... so a 13.4 would be rather slow

 

well there are 2 versions of the s281,
non supercharged = 285 hp
supercharged = 365 hp

now the s351 is a separate ball game altogether, not nice to find one of those on the road.

 

i didnt know there was a blown version of the s281... it would probably beat an s2k though...

um if your piece is stock, i have a hard time believing you put 2.5 cars on a modded gt(pulleys/exhaust/cai) I bet the guy couldn't drive.

for all u non mustang folk heres how it goes

s351=no longer made. blown 5.8liter pushrod=495hp
s281=NA 285 hp, tiny bit faster then stock gt
s281sc=roots blown 4.6 2v=365 hp
s281-E=new big dog. built 4.6 2v with more boost, 425hp.

saleens are a crap shoot on power however. In any case, good kill on a bad driver

i think by modded gt he means saleen-modded gt... quite a big difference from a gt with CAI/exhaust...
