Default S2000 wins hands down.

A few magazines have run drive tests and comparisons of the S2000 against both the standard boxter and the S and the S Ni Sen (2000) always comes out on top - fastest and most fun to drive.

I have met a few boxters/TT's/Elise's etc on the road but never race on the public road, but did have fun smoking an new Integra Type-R yesterday on a quiet stretch of highway here in Japan.

I think when you are in the V-tec zone and working it hard there isnt much that will keep up with an S in full flight, the problem is the time taken to get there and when another car has the low down torque it will leave us standing from the start.

A couple of weeks ago I had a fun time on a landing strip with my NSX and S2000, I got my father to drive the NSX, from a standing start it left the S2000 standing, by the time I had hit the vtec all I could see was the back of the X in the distance ..... but still I feel the S is more fun to drive.

Wow, you have an NSX and a S2000? It must be nice.

I've had a chance messing around with a Boxter but we didn't take it higher than 80mph and it was a close race... hardly a clear winner that time. With a Boxter S, I'd imagine I'd lose obviously since it has boost coming from a larger engine.

When you said the new Integra Type-R, do you mean the DC-5? I heard those things are fast, but your S2000 is rated at 250ps right? (11.5:1 C/R)

I see that you have the VGS model, does it drive noticably different from a normal non-VGS S2000? I recall Best Motoring did a test of the VGS but I didn't have time to see the end of it.

Hi,

What does troll mean ??

You can see some pictures of the new (ish) Integra at: -

http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-lineup/integra...ra_r/photo-lib/

I am not really sure about DC-5, that maybe the code in another country, I think the basic shape is the same as the RSX in the states.

It has 220 PS, great handling, the thing I found when I took one out was that there seems to be a little too much power for front wheel drive, it scrabbles for traction when you push it hard, but if you like wheel spins in 2nd/3rd then its fun.

The VGS ... well it feels like a go kart at low speeds, as you gain speed thou it feels very stable due to the change in gearing as you get faster, handling wise it doesnt really feel any different, I have driven a standard S at the Tochigi factory here in Japan but not the VGS so dont know yet the difference on the track.

The NSX is nice, I dont drive it too much but when I do its great, I am really into the S at the moment !! - they are very different machines.

NSX silver/black/red
On the contrary, I believe the S2K is the closest thing to driving my NSX (besides a 355). I love the transition from an NSX to an S2k. The NSX is quite a bit faster over a stock S2k, but the S2K is more fun on the autocross over a stock NSX cuz of weight, etc.

(I said stock because I've now skinnied my NSX down to an even 2700lbs and it feels so much perkier!!)

Maybe he picked himself up a rare "turbo" S2k which VTEC pulls like a Murcielago now! Ok, maybe just a 360, but still!!!
