Default S2K Vs. Audi TT

Racing Venue = Atlanta, Ga. I75 SouthBound
Racers = S2000 (no Mods) Vs. Audi TT (no Mods)
The Course= 2mi to the next exit

The start of the Race:
The Audi TT Passes me on the Left going about 80, I was doing 70 in 6th. I had my new wife in the cars ( who is a closet speed freak). She says, "Look honey! there's a "Tit-Tity" trying to race you!'" Without hesitation I downshift to 5th to catch up and see if the game was on. Indeed it was, Cuz as soon as he saw in the rear view he punched it. A Poof of smoke from his rear and the race was on.

The Race:
He downshifts, I'm still in 5th, 90mph and still gaining. The Traffic was pretty thick so we had to dodge some cars he went right and I took the left. by the time we get passed two cars I was out front. Right about now I notice VTEC Redline and 120mph and My wife notices the "Tit-Tity" is about 1/4 mile back. I let it coast down to 80mph. So he could watch up but there was no game. He did not run into any traffic..He Just gave up. ( I guess he had "H" rated tires)

The Victory lap:
After we got off the Highway we were continuing to our destination. I was satisfied about the win. I was in the left turn lane at a red light and GUESS WHAT?? The Tit-Tity showed up right next to me on my right and stopped one car ahead at the same light going straight. NO WAVE...NO THUMBS-UP..He was pissed. The turn signal turned green first so I had to rub it in! When I passed the Audi I gave it the 8,500 RPM REV Salute while coasting by. The new wife said, " honey stop rubbing it in." I just smiled!

I would have downshifted to 3rd ... otherwise, nice kill

Have fun,
Derek

They're all Quattro. Did he have dual exhausts or a single one?

And your so-called salute is called the ricer's fly-by.

Well I wouldn't necessarily say that. He did say he coasted by at 8500 rpm. Were the Audi doing 75 and enzyme was in, let's say for example, 3rd gear, that wouldn't really be a fly-by but more letting the loser hear the Honda motor go.

In this case, it sounds like he was just leaving a light and had the engine all revved up, probably moving pretty slow in first.

Enzyme,

Nice kill by the way. Sounded fun. To back up novaS2K, I would suggest that if you're not racing something so soft, that you put it into third though. I've pulled on M3s before who have probably just put it into 4th and while driving my brother's M3 I completely crushed an S4 who, if not an auto, must have put it in too high of a gear. I just came from behind and passed him as he was struggling to sneak by after I ended the race in my favor twice already. These cars are all pretty comparable so I can only guess it was the low gear that made the difference as well as my unwavering bravery and skill.
