Default S2k vs. CTS-V

I was on my way home from a date, when i look over my left shoulder and see a black Cadillac. and when it rolled by me, i heard him rev up on me...and laughed out loud to my girlfriend. anyways, as i looked at the Cadillac...i realized it wasn't the ordinary CTS. it was the CTS-V. we were cruising side by side at about 30mph. after a couple million times of him downshifting and jumping ever so slightly...i figured, okay im almost to my girls house, lemme give it a short go see what this guy has in this stupid lil caddy. so i downshifted and he downshifts right after me...we start going and he gains ground on me to about a car length. we only went up to about 70-75mph. so if he gained a car length thru a short 30-40mph blast...imagine if we really went at it and i didnt have to get home. so anyways i slowed down and made a right turn. i was shocked, cause when he took off the engine sounded amazing, and heard the intake loud and clear. i looked over to my girl like, damn that shit was fast. she was like "maybe he fixed it up or something." i was embarassed cause i just got my ass handed to me by a cadillac and even worse it was with a female in the passenger side.

well i got home, and was still in shock, and checked up the stats on that damn CTS-V...turns out, it cranks out 400hp from the corvette LS6!!!!!!! when i saw that, i immediately thought that the guy was just f'ing with me. i think he coulda pulled even harder if he wanted too.

the moral of the story is...NEVER race a cadillac V series! lol. they look like normal sedans, but they pull hard. 0-60 in about 4.6! its basically an american M-5.

YUP, I remember seeing one at a dealer when they first came out.....really expensive!....well, at least for me

I would like to see a real-life 0-100 race sometime.....but my thoughts are the chances of that happening are lesser than if I won the powerball this week.

I'll see what I can do about that 0-100. A friend of mine has one and I should be visiting him sometime this summer in the S.

They definitely aren't slow. They can't compare to the 'vette, but 400hp will push even a brick pretty quickly.

You've got to know your cars. There are some factory sleepers out there.

why not race them, they are bouts until they reach higher speeds. i ran my buddies cts-v from a 60 roll and we were dead even until 100-105 where he started creeping away. the pull isn't insanelly crazy, but it's pretty quick.
