neons are fun little cars.

its like the american crx.

its a autoX/rallyX monster with some good tires and good drivers.

that being said, I've owned a 1G - amazingly easy and simple car to work on, but terrible TERRIBLE trim quality.

If the neon had slightly more upscale trim, i'd recommend that car to anyone looking for a thrill. easy to learn to drive...CABLE CLUTCH, easy engine to wrench on, cheap parts, lots of space, and cutesy.

 

Where i live, thats the car of choice. Along with evos. Im the only one around with a s2k. and everyone gives me shit. They say my cars slow, and make fun of how i only have a 2.0....stupid mtn dew jokes >.<

Theyre just mad becasue i really dont race. I do when the oppertunity is a "once in a GREAT while". Like the topic i just posted the other day(My first (sorta) race in the s2k) <--- topic name.
But i do think the s2k out classes the srt-4 in style but in power, stock, good racce but no cigar. Ive watchd my friends race them and theyre pretty quick. Considering that most of the tools who drive them always are messing with them and modding them. My one friend who has one i rebuilding the whole engine and tranny and will be done next summer, hes aiming for 500-600hp....thats pretty crazy. I dont know if he'll succeed but its possible.

Turbo s2k....watch out though....i cant wait to turbo mine....from the vids ive been watching, the s2k almost looks like it turns from normal to a super saiyan

Id probably get a Neon if it weren't actually a Neon. Stupid fast for how cheap they are to mod but it again is still a Neon.. I heard you use the term "base". Are you AF?
