i was at my frind house... having dinner..and just pooring around....
because i got my new car 2 weeks ago.... my frind kept asking me to race with his M3..
i was like.... NO NO....it's a new car..... also my s2k was my frist manual car i ever had....
he asked my so many times..... so i decided to race him....

spec. MY S2000 = born stock......... no mod....
His 98 M3 = with Aftermarket exhaust, CIA, Aftermarket airfilter...

We had 2 runs.....i think about little less than 1/4 miles..

First race....
both car lined up..... my other friend gave us sign...... 3...2...1 start...
right after we started... he had....car length ahead me....since i'm not a good manual driver....
but... when i hit VTEC at 1 first gear i was catching up... at 2 gear....around 8000 rpm... i was just half car length....
behind him....at 3 gear... around... 6000 rpm.... we both slowed down...cause..it was just 2 lane road.... we didn't wanna hit someone....

second race....
This time... i was on the otherside of lane... so latter...i had to merge in.... again... he had... car length ahead of me...
After i VTEC i caught up half car lenth behind him.... than i had to merge in... so... i lost again...

just after....neighbors got piss off.... and they were saying...... they will call the cop....
so me and him... just went back to his house....
even...i lost ... it ws fun......

You need to work on your launch. Even with his mods, you should be able to get him.

Umm, do we live on the same planet?

BMW M3:

333BHP
Curb Weight: 3415LBS.

With CAI, AM Filter, and Exhaust

VS.

Stock S2000
240BHP
Curb Weight: 2800LBS.

No Mods

Almost 100HP (probably well over 100 w/ his mods) difference and 600LBS weight difference, I don't think he would ever "get him". Ever.
The M3 wouldn't massacre him, but he WOULD win just about everytime unless the driver of the M3 really sucked.

If this race happened near me, my money would be on the M3 every single time.

read his post again, his friend's BMW is a 98 M3 which is like.. less then 300 HP so after all his bolt on's and stuff, it won't even break 300 HP. only the 2001 (or was it 2000... ) M3's have 333 HP.

With those mods the M3 was lucky to be pushing 250 - 255 HP. 96' to 99' M3's don't respond well to the bolt on stuff.

'98 M3 has 240hp. With the mods mentioned, I'd guess he's putting out 250-255hp.

ya~ I was right~ and even if it was a 2001 M3.. you still got a good chance at him as long as you can launch right. its not that its impossible.. both cars are so fast that.. the real test is the driver.

That motor (3.2L inline-6) is underrated...and the car is EASY to drive fast.

It was a fait accomplice.

EDIT: I just can't understand why a government agency would have any involvement with his car (CIA).

i dont think so buddy... when i had my S and i raced this new 2002 M3 (red) on the freeway, we both punched it around 60mph and reached atleast 120+ even when i was at 4th, which is one of the fastest gears for the S ( I HAD NO CHANCE ).
he was pulling like a mother from hell!!. at the end i think he beat me atleast 6-7 car lengths.

now after getting my 99 NSX, i raced another new 01 or 02 M3 on the freeway and can take it atleast 1-2 car lengths on the freeway starting from 60 --> 100+.
