s2k vs s2k
I did race another 2000 S2k and I won by two car lengths but I honestly think that he gave up in the top end of second because he realized he had his kid in the car. So it was not a strong race, still fun though.

If anyone else has paced another S I would like to hear the story.

I paced a kid with an intake, exhaust, rims/tires and 'spoon' decals. We made a green arrow left (me 1st car at the red, him 2nd) onto a 3 lane road w/a 50 mph limit, him behind me. I took the turn slow then hit it after we turned straight. He hit it immediately too.
He did not gain an inch up to about 80 mph. That was fast enough for me! His car looked and sounded sweet. Although the intake is a little loud for my tastes. I was real happy that my car was as fast as his!!
Coincidentally we made the same right about two miles after the first turn. This time, me behind him rolling through a green.....We were both pushing it, but I carried more speed through the apex of the 90 degree turn and crawled up his ass and had to back off at about 50+. It was fun!! Again, I was glad that my 'stock' S was as fast as his modded S.
He was cool and there were thumbs ups all around!!!

I raced my mate in his JDM S2K a couple of weeks ago and it was a traffic light drag from stop. My first actually.... Lights turned green... and bam! off we went. Got a bit of a jump on him but turned out that my huge basketball boots (just finished a game) was still slightly on the clutch and therefore had not fully engaged and slipping during the launch (I realised this when I put my foot down on the throttle and the car wasn't going anywhere particularly quickly).
So when I realised this I literally lifted my whole leg up and then down again and hit second, shut it down end of second as it was a bit stupid to begin with. Turned out that my friend bogged his launch (which explains why I nosed in front of him even with my clutch half engaged for the first 20 metres).
And the conclusion? Well my friend probably dealt a whack to his drivetrain and I lived with the aromatic scent of a burning clutch plate for the next couple of days to remind me the error of my ways....
