Default S2k vs Talon Eagle TSI

I hear that a TSI comes stock with a garret turbo, is this true? Plus a friend of my brother said he ran a 14.1 stock with his TSI, what do you guys say? I'm waiing for Spring so I can take my S out so that I can show him a thing or two about our S. I'd ran a 13.9 stock at the track with my S, I've now added I/h/e plus nitous so he'll be crying after it's all said and done. Any thought?

Last year while we were at the track just as spectator, there was a Eagle Talon with upgraded turbo along with nitrous that ran a increditable 12.1 sec... That was amazing, what's more amazing was when his turbo spooled up cause whether you're paying attention or not you can hear it. About racing a stock TSI, I'll have no problems seeing that I'm running juice under the hood. With a stock s2k I managed to pull a 13.9 so with nitrous I should be around low 13s to high 12sec? What do you think?

STOCK tsi runs anywhere between 14.9 - 15.5. 2nd Generations comes stock with a Garrett T28 (hair blower) turbo and the 1st gen comes with a 14B (slightly bigger turbo).

So 4GSixty3, you're saying that there's no way a stock TSI can pull a 14.1 with a average driver? I'm thinking that my brother's friend own a 1st gen TSI with no mods, also are you saying that he's BS'ing about the 14.1 1/4 time?

2G (95-99) DSM's actually come with a Garret T25 turbocharger (way too small, can only hold 12 psi to redline), not a T28. The T28 is an upgarde. I've seen stock 1G (90-94) AWD DSM's pull low 14's, and some nearly stock ones even get into the 12's on leaded race gas. 4G above is giving some false info, anyone cutting a 15.5 with a turbo DSM is a terrible driver. My FWD TSi pulled consistant 15.3's when I first bought it (113k miles), an AWD should be at least in the high 14's with a decent driver. Anyways, Red, if you ever want a race with a DSM just let me know and I'll set something up since I know just about everyone in the area with one. Hopefully I'll be seeing you around Uni Ave. this summer.

A Talon TSI is the same thing as an Eclpise GSX. They will both get beat by an Integra GS-R and Smoked by a Type R. I`ve seen it done in person. My friend Matt has a 95 Talon TSI thats stock and he got ripped countless times by a White 99 Integra Type R and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that you will completely Destroy a Type R

1/4 Mile for that car is 15.5 Or 15.1 (Thats I have seen around the Net)

1/4 Mile for a ITR 14.7- or 14.5

1/4 Mile S2K 14.0 -13.8 (Road And Track & Car and Driver) All modles

TalonTSIDude, I'm mostly around Unv. Ave. on Fri/Sat cause you know that's the hang out for us Import guys, sometimes we all kick it at Apple Valley by MAS. You'll be seeing me around for sure, I haven't seen you around though.

uummm no. A good condition 2G DSM is capable of mid 14s dead stock with a good AWD launch. And a DSM should never get 'ripped' by an integra Type-R. the ITR could win, but with equal drivers it will be VERY close.

FYI free mods have gotten 1Gs to low 13s so becareful.
