s2k vs type-R
I raced my buddies 00 Type-T the other day 60-110...he almost passed me but couldn't...I was like what the heck.
I get home and check the oil almost a quart low...thank goodness.
He thinks he would have passed me eventually...I think not

I raced my friends 01 type r from a stop and beat him about 2 weeks ago. Funny thing is today we installed his NOS in his car and it doesn't seem all that much faster, i didn't get a chance to race him with it though. I also raced this guy he knows who has a JDM intregra type r motor in a 92-95 hatch. The this has basic bolt ons and is gutted. The first time i raced him he beat me by less then a 1/4's car length, then i let another friend of mine who is really good at racing race him and he beat the hatch by about a car length.

Quarter mile times for many R owners are mid 14's -- 14.4-14.6 is not unccommon, keep in mind that is about the same or even faster than many of the s2000 people here. (although the trap speed is usually 3-5 mph slower).
With 4400 track miles on my 01 ITR and 1500 street miles on my s2000 I would put money on the ITR being faster throught the 1/4 -- it sure *feels* faster from a stop to about 100 -- especially with the lighter kosei K1-s and hoosiers on it.
I can see how a well driven ITR could beat an s2000 on a roll, especially if the s2000 driver was not agressive enough with the cog selection at the start.

i have them both and to make it a fair match up you have to have at least 4k on both of them, drivers equal, and most r's i c on the track dont make it to mid 14's so 1/4 times might be close but 1 mile times would definetly go to the s2k.. Now on a circuit course i think i would go to the itr, since it takes a really good driver to take sharp turns at high speed on a rwd car.
It all depends on the driver, but pound for pound, an S2000 will outclass an Integra Type-R.
I ran across a yellow Type-R with plates that read "Suzuka" on Geary Ave in San Francisco (many stoplights) a few weeks ago. We took off on every light, and on every light I'd pull on him at least 2-3 car lengths before shifting to third.
This guy's car was pristine, sounded great, and I must say that I liked his choice in vanity plates.
