Default S2K VS. Viper GTS

Last night I took a drive 436 which is a major road in Orlando, Fl. It was about 2:30am and the roads were empty. I was just driven haven fun when a white Viper GTS pulls along side of me. We are doing about 65mph and I'm in 4th gear. Well we both look at each other and I down shift first and then he down shifts. Well it only took him about a second and a half to catch me and put 2 cars on me. We stayed like that for a little while and then let off. Next we rolled up to a stop light. The light goes green and he drops it and I drop it and he kicks sideways almost hitting me. Well he didn't back out and either did I. He put like 8 cars on me before I could get into 2nd. Well it was his turn ahead so he slowed and honked and waved to me and I did the same. I was shocked that he did honk and wave, cause usually they would just look the other way. Well thats my story...

Have a friend with a single turbo Supra. He raced a Viper GTS and put many car lengths on him at the end of the race. Supra even had 4 people sitting in the car.....

I would have thought anything less than a heavily modded Supra would have been toasted by a Viper, let alone a GTS........

Give me to the end of the summer and I'll spank stock viper GTS's. In my lowly automatic nonetheless. They're not invincible, just damn strong!!!

I remember when one of the first Vipers made came by my autoshop in HS, looked mean, but then for what it was, it was pretty slow. They have come a long way with acceleration since they first came out.

Ya, I should be in the 12's this weekend on some really bald street tires. Hopefully with some decent street tires I'll see around 12.7 or so. Next in line is a gear and torque converter change. Programming....then maybe a shot of the gas just to make sure
