Default S2K vs. WRX

Was able to run a buddy's WRX for the first time last night. I haven't really raced any other cars up until this encounter.
WRX is stock with H&R Springs
S2000 only power adder was a Invidia Exhaust

Firs run..... we went from a 3rd gear roll and I was to honk 3 times to get the fun started I stayed in 3rd gear had the revs up to about 5900RPM honked 3 times and we took off, palms slighty moist I grip the shift knob and get ready for the defining 9K shift which will hopefully decipher wether my driving skills are up to par or wether I should go back to Gran Turismo 3 for pracky.
Nine-thousand comes and I slam it into 4th gear, I check to my right and still see a Blue WRX 1/4 car length behind rushing to make up ground. Foot planted squarely on the gas, the s2k runs out 7K,8K and then again I ready for another shift, bam, perfect shift into 5th gear.. i check the side mirror and the blue wrx is now about 1 car length back and losing ground
I take a deep breathe knowing I have just defeated my counterpart, without hesitation I flash the hazards and congratulate myself on victory, basically trying to build me ego helplessly so that I can ready for another round...

Second run..... we/I decide to go from a first gear roll to truly see how the Scoobie will perform and to test wether or not I can stay calm enough to hammer 4 different gears without a single mistake...
I ready the S, and she is breathing heavily at 5900RPM awaiting my call for arms.... 3 honks and were off......9000 came so quickly in first gear I couldn't even recall any of my GT3 experience to get through it, without thought I flawlessly (self proclaimed) smack second, quickly look to me right and the scoobie is already 1/2 car length behind.
Second gear pulls even harder that I am slightly disorted by the power (that would be 154lb./Tq not V8 TQ but I quickly gain my composure and ready for another redline shift...before I do I glance at my side mirror, WRX headlights glissening in the mirror now a full car length behind, the moment comes, I am filled with excitement as my s shift into her strongest point, 3rd gear

and then I won by about 2 - 2 1/1 car lengths through 4th gear.

Thanks for reading..

a first gear roll isnt how a scoobie would "truely" perform.. they perform best from a stop.. first gear roll takes away their awd advantage but good kills

Stock for stock the S2K will win especially from a roll. If you really want to test your driving skills, take it from a stop. Good kill though

While the WRX is not for everyone, it's the leader in what it offers for it's class. That class would be 4 door sport compact. Reason why everyone is out to try to beat it. As for your wins, it clear this benefited you all the times cause of your range. And like it was said, if you wanted a true challenge, you should have gone from a stop, and waited for him to launch at 5000RPM and then seen what happened... Or I would have wanted to see the WRX with an exhaust aswell. But you won so good for another S2000.

The WRX would need more then a Intake or Exaust to beat the S2K.

$30 Manual boost control is what stock WRX needs.
