I was driving home from my brothers house the other night...I don't want to make up some BS..so I'll tell you straight up what happened...

ME: Coming onto the highway cruising at 80(kmh in 4th gear) see stupid fake xenons coming from a distance and pull up beside me. The guy totally came up on me..and I never race but I felt like that night was good time. So I dropped ot second...hit it an had to get into 3rd pretty quick...then 4th and next thing you know I'm at 150(km/h) and his ass was unheard of not even close to me.

His interpretation...I was drivin home and some white guy driving an s2000 with the top down at night was coming onto MY highway hahah. I floored it and thought i'd see what that weird looking civic could do. So I catch up to him, and pull up beside him, before just as my boyfriend stopped jerking me off I hit the gas..but all I could do was bust a nut and see that I had my ass handed to me.

I don;t really know whether or not he gunned it or not..I think it was a wrx cuz it had that stupid spoiler and cool looking hood scoop...anyways hope I entertained you all.

My friends cobb/accessport stage 2 wrx with port and polish turbo, intake manifold and turbo manifold took me out.

 

how quick is the wrx? like what would be the outcome stock for stock?

from what I hear they are slow, but dont ahve any actual proof.

for instance, my buddy has a wrx wagon, with exhaust and boost controller (set at stock to stop creep), new clutch, and maybe an intake. any clue as to how I should fare? I've got invidia and aem V1.

 

i have the v1 as well, and i raced my friend's stock 03 wrx. i started in the wrong gear (3rd, should have been in 2nd) and still pulled by a car length by the end of the race. modded ones can be fast. id say, if u dont mess up youd win, because he doesnt have an ecu upgrade. if he did, he'd probably beat you.

WRX's are so slow that when I raced one last night from a 20 mph roll, the guy started going first, I began to pass him at about 55 mph, he then SWERVED INTO MY LANE ON PURPOSE, JUST SO I WOULDNT PASS HIM. I FELT LIKE KILLING THIS FOOL AS HE PULLED INTO THIS PARKING LOT. I seriously contemplated pulling in after him and bashing his head in. What IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

they're 0 to 60 is pretty good, but they have no top end unless you chip them. You can make them pretty fast with only a few minor mods. My dad has one as his winter car. With only a couple of mods and an ECU reflash you can gain around 50hp. They've got great potentail. If I wanted a four door I would get one.

 

Does your friend have a catback exhaust or does he have all his cats removed? The wrx has 3 cats and if u remove all of them with an after market turbo back exhaust and an ecu upgrade. They can be pretty quick.

 

I don't have a WRX, I have the Legacy GT. I have a turboback exhaust and Accessport Stage 2 along with an upgraded top mount, the car is a lot quicker than stock, gains on the WRX from these mods would make it pretty quick as well. I'm waiting to run into an S2k to see the outcome, I think it would be a great race. Anybody in central/North NJ wanna meet up?
