Going to get some MTF this morning, took the long way to have some fun! I see this Z4 moving up on me in traffic, obviously trying to catch up. Dude passes me and gives a little smirk. We both take the same exit onto a twisy country road, he takes off I follow... almost bumped him in 2nd? Took another turn to get onto a really deserted stretch that goes through the country... gave him a 5 second head start from the stop sign, catch him and pass him at about 120, he tried to keep up through some really sharp 25 mph turns...but did not have a chance. Got to the next stop sing (4 miles) and he passed me while I was stopped, running the stop. Oh well, had no idea they were that slow.

 

They aren't that slow if they have the 265, 306, 333, or 340 hp motors.

You probably raced an auto 2.5i, which sounds spot on with your results.

Yeah 2.5's are slow. Probably raced one of those. Other models are much faster.

 

Guys are thinking of the Z4 M or the new model with the twin turbo inline 6.

of course those better be faster...

 

my friend have the z4 with the 3.0 and he keeps up with me just fine. you defenetly race a 2.5

 

Even the 3.0 is capable of high 13s stock.
