SC'd G35
I got behind a really nice looking supercharged G35 while merging onto the interstate. Traffic prohibited him from spanking me too bad, but it was obviously pretty quick. I noticed a puff of black smoke when he shifted. It wasn't anything huge, but certainly something I wouldn't want coming out of my car. Any idea what the cause of the smoke would be? Possibly a supercharger side effect? Or maybe just a side effect of buying a Nissan

How could you tell if he's supercharged by driving behind him? As for me, I wouldn't be able to tell if the car's supercharged unless I see what's under the hood.
I've seen him around a few times. He's always driving the car pretty hard. This is the first time I've run into him with the SC (or well... sense getting the Vortech plate frame). It was very obvious that either this license plate frame added 100hp, or he did infact have a supercharger.

I would guess that the black smoke was from him going rich when letting off the gas from all that onboost fueling. It's normal. Lots of cars do it and I've even some soot exiting the back of my NA '04 in cars headlights behind me at night when I'm WOT.

I would guess that was cause by NITROUS instead of SC.
