A guy is betting me $100 to race his stock 2005 manual BMW M3. With my mods, do I stand a chance? If so, would I be better off from a dig or roll?

save that 100 bucks, put it towards some real Engine management,

then after you get that tuned race him and get your money back,

You need a major boost in HP. I dont think you will take the M3 with his mods, considering how well S responds to mods

 

Stock E46 does 13.1 at 105. I say you need at least a supercharger to keep up with that puppy

 

how good of a driver are you and how good is he

i keep even with my cousins manual e46 m3 but i am a better driver then him.

 

i think i would barely be able to beat an E46 M3, and i have a 75 shot of Zex and have beaten a C5 Corvette and a GTO. E46 M3's are fast cars. i dont think basic bolt-ons, a tune, or even gears woud be quite enough to take him down unless he is a complete at driving. but if you did it, a dig would definitely be your best chance. i'm not saying that s2k's launch better or are better down low, im saying, hopefully you'd get a good VTec launch, and he'd sit and spin. theres not much skill involved in roll racing. even if he granny shifted, hed still be able to pull you

 

Dude, you know you are pretty much stock.
The "REVZ TO9" license plate is pretty much the highest hp gain mod you have. Throw some VTEC stickers on the side and you'll beat him....

No, seriously. You have zero chance if he knows how to drive at all.

Save your $100 and put it towards some nitrous.

 

It'll be a worse spanking than the Evo you lost to.

Please stop street racing until you get some effective mods.
