THE SHUTDOWN.
oh man, im still rolling. lately its just been too funny.
so we go up to our weekly 10 second meet, (thats its name) and on our way back,,, what do we see a blue metallic vette, stingray lookin body. it had L83 on the hood cowl. and i just checked that makes it an 84
.. well, it had jegs stickers in the window, hedmann sticker, and a crower sticker and some huge mufflers out in back. well, if it had headers cam and whatever else it still prob made less HP than my S. it sounded good, but stock made 205 HP (ROTFLMAO). so we roll by and just smile like nice kids, and then the hillbilly in the driver seat stands on the loud pedal and trys to get on it. we bust out laughing. my buddy in his R32 is driving with us. i let some VTEC sing, so the guy knows theres a rattler in the bushes. so he looks over at the R32 instead and says, *what size sewing machine you have in that thing*. he jumps on it a couple times and trys it with the r32. and ive kinda had it with this guy talkin shit at this point. so i tell mike, hold on, i side up with him, and as i do, he just stands on it, and so i let him have it, me 200 lbs, my pass 230, and almost full tank, top down. we rolled on by him like a locomotive, and i waved goodbye with both hands as i banged 4th and just left him. oh we were in tears. get to the next light, i put the top up, and see if he wanted it again, cause he was on my ass, sayin shit to what looked to be his dad. well, we turn the corner, i sidestep it, and slide a bit, and just row through the gears, at about 70, he let off as i was about 1/8th mile in front of him. LOLOLOLOL. god we were dying when we got out of the car at home. anyways, thanks for reading my book, lol, long story. laters. dave

sounds sweet man, i love smoking those old vettes. Don't get me wrong though I am kind of partial to them, I look at them as icons though. Deffinatly not street machines any more. You should have seen how pissed off this redneck guy was up at the 1/4 mile track over the summer. It was one of those pay $30 race all day things. I got there at like noon, and I lined up next to this guy for the 2nd time around 1pm. After the 2nd time I spanked him (by about a half a second) he went strait for the exit. Wasted his $30 on two unsuccessful runs against a stock 4 banger that he had no clue what the name of my car was.
