Default Shy Z28...

I'm cruising to Starbucks on Saturday night with the HouStooks when I roll up beside a Z28. When I first looked over the guy was on the phone, so I didn't mess with him. Went on my way.

Few minutes later I see him coming up quickly behind me, so I dump and go. He tries to pace behind me, but loses a few car lengths. A few lights later he does one of those domestic floor-it-for-a-second-so-that-it-sounds-fast revs. I pull right up next to him and start revving, gunning it, going forward 1/2 car, braking back to be even again, anything to get him to run - calling him out. Nothing.

So I went on my way. We end up at the light next to each other. Lips2000 is behind me laughing, because the guy only pulled up to my rear tire. In Lips2000 perception, he was not wanting to have to look me in the eyes. Maybe he's just shy.

Wesmaster - and that last story was like an F-1 start!
I would have loved to seen their faces once they saw the tail end of the S2000.

Ok, one more:

Same night, on the way home, as I pass this modded Prelude he revs up. I pretty much slam on the brakes to slow down to his pace. Calling him out. He's 2 car-lengths behind me. He drops, I wait for him to get to my door, I drop (2nd at 59, for quick burst to 3rd). He gets the car length lead from the fact that he dropped before I did...then as he closes in on the car in front of him he slowly eases into my lane and cuts me off - just as I'm boosting in 3rd. I ride his butt, having to let off the gas...while he's still giving it all he's got. The interior of his car lights up with this tremendous yellow/orange light. The car was begging, "Shift! Shift!". As we both pass the car I get into the left lane and walk on by. My friend, who was following us, comes by in his WRX and cuts off the Prelude...as a "Thank You".
