Default Sideways meets a 39 Willys

I had an opportunity to punch off with a beautiful '39 Willys.

I was warmed up and had just picked up Casterdog for the morning hot rod show. I saw the Willys comming up from behind driving a little agressive. We both ended up at a red light. He brought his rpms up to load his stall speed as the light was about to change. We were off at the green light. The Willys let out a big roar but he didn't spin his 16 inch wide drag slicks.

I pulled him a length in first, granny shifted to let him catch up and pulled a few more lengths in second. He shut down at 60.

I felt bad for the guy when I found out he was handicapped. That is correct, handicapped. He didn't have a blower. It was a 540 cubic inch big block but sadly, no blower. Just a basic crate motor.

I'm so bad.

The last dyno was 469 rwhp at 8700 rpm when I had to shut it down. It's running 9500 rpm now so when I go back to the dyno I expect to see more than 469 rwhp.

I'm currently running my original stock '00 rear end with about 15,000 miles on it.

You can run the stock rear all day as long as you're only racing from a roll and plan on pulling a 2.0+ 60' all the time.
