Default SMOKED! By a Typhoon

On the way to work this AM, sitting at a stop light, where I make an immediate left turn onto the freeway on ramp. Theres actually two lanes making a lefthand turn. I had the inside lane. I wasn't paying attention at all, wasn't racing, but this is the first good opportunity I have to hit vtec in the AM, and I usually always do if I'm the lead car.

So I'm sitting there at the light and notice a truck or SUV or something pull up next to me. All I really noticed was that it was white and big.

Light turns green, I give it a little gas going into the turn, hit the apex and floor it...again, not looking around, had no idea what was about to BLOW by me! I shift into second and an early 90's Typhoon just blasts by like a freight train...like I'm standing still!

Now I probably shifted early, again, I wasn't racing and had no idea there was anything beyond a truck or SUV in the lane next to me, but still, it made me laugh to see that old, boxy chevy, blast by me!!

Consider yourself lucky! It's not everyday that you get smoked by one of those.

Yep 4.6 liter turbo.....besides the cyclone it used to be the quickest production truck. The 4.6 liter is pretty much a 350 ci with minus 2 cylinders. They are a classic
