I did a track day with my buddy who's a Pontiac sales mgr, and the solstice, while a nice looking roadster, is by no means a match for an S. Had a guy in a new solstice make a flip remark about a run to see who's faster,I just reminded him I wasn't driving a miata..hope GM sells the shit out of the car, that being said it's a slowstice when it comes to the S

The FI Solstices (or Solstice GXP) aren't for sale yet, but will be soon as a 2007 model I believe. Should be a good race with a S2000, they will be rated at 260HP/260TQ, but you never know could be underrated. Weight should be between 2900-3000lbs. In my opinion, I believe these cars stock will pull on stock S2000s. I don't know how well they will take to mods, but being FI, should respond much better to bolt ons than the S2000. Sorry guys, but I've been calling for this for awhile, the S2000 is in need of more power. Next thing you now, a new Mazdaspeed Miata is making 240HP and pulling on S2000s too.

Gotta hate Honda for not updating the car more often in performance. Its a pretty sad day when a Miata blows the doors off an S2k stock vs stock.

You make good points. But one thing you don't seem to understand is that FI power is different than n/a power... It really is a amazaing how people don't get this... Like if you had two s2k's, every thing the same. One making 300 rwhp na, and one making 300 rwhp with just a comptech supercharger slapped on. If the two cars were to race the N/A car would rape that FI car, it wouldn't even be close....

I would love to see the 3000 pound 260 CRANK horsepower F/I car take on the s2k... You guys need to get off of peak numbers and see what really will win a race.

Hmmm....interesting point that I haven't heard before. Care to explain how that works? I'm just curious as to how 300hp from engine only is somehow less than 300hp from FI.
