Spec V
Well coming home the other night I see what I though was an evo in the rearview. I go up the hill towards my house and try to get on it into the curves, (by the way it was 40 degress out, a little damp, I dont have tires on the back (they are gone) ) Well anyways I was rev-matching through the corners and this car was on my A** the whole time. So I stopped my car and let the dude pass me. Then I follow him and like i said I really couldnt drive to the cars potential because it is cold and I have no tires. As we come to a straight away he pulls hard at the stop sign, I punch it from the stop sign, I start reeling him in slowly but there is another stop sign. Well after following he turned into a apartment complex so I got out and talked to him to realize it was a sentra spec V. I was like what do you have done to that thing, well anyways he said he just dynoed it and it was 182 FWHP and 192 FWT. He also had wider tires full Tein suspension and chassis braces. He said he always wanted an S, ( he was a former miata turbo owner, but anyways he raceds SCCA events alot. He was a nice guy not a PITA so it was fun while it lasted. Moral of the story, he could drive really well and well since the conditions were not the best for me, I kinda was dissappointed.
Yeah I had one, a 2002 SpecV. I can tell you that the car has gobs of low end torque. It's a large displaced 4 cylinder at 2.5 liters. But the redline is short @ 6250.
The car definately has potential but it's no S.

I owned one as well. Low end is nice but after third gear the car kinda falls on its face
spot on. to me a VERY disapointing car to drive.
Yeah I think if the conditions were better and I had some rubber it really wouldnt have been a contest. When I was chasing him down, my tires broke really bad between first and second and second and third. Good thing I am getting tires this weekend.

Spec V = Extreme wheel hop.
I had a specV too (I guess quite a few did too
). The S2000 definitely owns the spec, in every way that is performance oriented.
But I could see it being a little easier for him to push the limits of his FWD car in that situation.
