I am curious, what are they from the factory as far as whp? How easy is it for them to mod for 400 whp? I personally saw a SRT squeeze by a turbo S with 400 whp, and both were equal drivers.

So hypothetically, how "easy" is there modding? I am asking because I LOVE my S, and it is DAMN expensive to mod...

you can either get the stage 1 which is like 225 hp or stage 2 which gets you to about 275 or stage 3 which gets you over 300 hp. you can buy them like this straight from the dealership too. you can't really tell which one you racing cuz they all look the same. they can be stupid fast......

def. hard to tell what they had done. exhaust sounded stock, but who knows. Still, just a bunch of HS kids so probably more likely to buy stickers than performance parts

But I would consider buying one as they are pretty cheap. But my last car gave me enough torque steer for a life time (325lb-ft and FWD)

Most of them would be faster since most are not stcok. Don't mind them much, they always try to prove something they are not. I just laugh at them and go my way. You did the right thing.

The stock block on the SRT4 can easily handle 400 WHP.

The stock turbo will max out at 290-300 WHP but to make more power beyond that you'll need a bigger snail. One of the most popular upgrades is to do the 50 Trim Turbo, which properly tuned can do 400 WHP on the stock block or with a built block reach close to 475-500 WHP....

With the 2.4L block and 50 Trim, the power band and power potential will be awesome, but traction will be an issue. At this point in time he'll need to run street slicks, and with that kinda power, he'll probably toast his tires and wont get traction till 4th gear....

Also, the Mopar Stage 3 upgrade is a popular and reliable, proven and tested mod. These cars have gone mid to low 11's with good driving at 120+ MPH. It gets rid of the stock SRT4 turbo for something along the size of the stock 05 spec EVO 8 turbo....

In addition the SRT4 is rather light weighing in around 2900 pounds or so, maybe even less. The only thing is is that if you wanna wreck your SRT4 fast go like 100 and slam on the brakes.... you tail end will kinda skip all over your lane and if you dont hold the steering wheel tight and keep the car pointed straight, you can wreck...

I hope this helps

I was doing 400-420whp on 93 pump gas and upwards of 475whp on race gas on the stock block in my srt4. I had the agp 50 trim setup. The stock block is good for around 500hp. Traction did suck very much, didnt really get anywhere till the end of third gear. But with slicks at the track an 11 sec pass was the norm. Very easy to make good power. The whole reason i had bought the car cheap speed. Heres a lil dyno sheet on pump gas. These cars can be very hard to distinguish from stock to highly modded. Almost everyone puts a large fmic on it so that doesnt help. Idk fun cars but traction limited. Fwd = the suck
