Maybe you didn't see that it had a hard time gaining traction, and it let off the gas a few times.
In fact, that T66 Civic could be pushing max boost, or low boost. Cars don't race each other by themselves. It's the driver. There are so many variables in a street race.
Maybe an ideal-tuned, and well driven T66 Civic would smoke everything that comes in its path. But this one doesn't.

Yes, I noticed that it did have some traction problems but the core of the issue that I'm concerned about isn't traction, it's when the EK9's tires hooked up, it should've literally wasted the SRT-4. That's why I'm calling about it being stock. Since I can't "see" what's under the hood of the Civic in the video, I could also call on it being a T66 also. Either way, either the story isn't being told accurately or someone's trying pass out a bunch of crap.
I have enough experience driving, working and tuning EK9's to have a good grasp of what they can do. 2 of my friend's own turbo EK9's, one of them has a H22A swap with a T3/T4 and would literally smoke '04 SRT-4's (and Mopar Stage 1 modded '03s) and put a good bus length before hitting 100mph from a 10mph roll. The other has a T66 and while lag is a serious issue on this car, it's no contest in a race... the H22A would get swallowed up like a Japanese tourist facing a 10 foot shorebreak wave at Waimea Beach Park.

There is no way that is a stock car. A C5 Vette should walk that thing and from what I have witnessed, the EvO would have pulled it as well. That car is definately not running stock boost levels. 230 HP 250 FT Pounds of Torque does not move like that...Trust Me...

Honda could also state that the S2000 makes only 160HP and make it look like some miracle car compared to other cars that produce the same HP figures. I was suspicious when a Dodge 2.5L turbo would produce 70HP less than a comparable displacement STI, also 2.5L producing 300HP. That meant the SRT-4 was either an incredibly inferior car, or the OEM was bullshitting about their claims.

Ok 350 Where ya hiding the video of the neon spanking a 350z. Joking
Anyway I am sure some of those videos have stock Noens but I think some are modded. Its really hard to tell when the neon lets off the gas or when the other car lets off the gas. Anyway very entertaining. Thanks for the posts
