Default SS Kill Story

I just got my butt whopped by an SS.

A guy at my job has a 2001 SS and we decided to mess around on the free way. We took off from around 75 and I was in 3rd gear. Took it all the way up at 8900 before shifting to 4th, and he made me look like I was a civic. WIthin a quater mile he was at least 3 car lengths ahead of me and still pulling away. Those SS are some mean cars. when he took off from 75, I saw the back of his car drop like he was at a stop sign (Pretty Amazing). Then, to make it so bad, a guy behind us in a caviler watching the whole thing drove by me after the race laughing at me and pointing. I felt so ashamed I had to get off the freeway.

So now I'm mad. What type of money would I have to spend to beat this guy starting from 70 mph? What type of effect will Nos have on our car? This cannot happen again! Considering that his car cost less than mine, and neither of has have done any mods, I really feel bad right now. Is the SS that powerful? It's no fair, it's just no fair?

325hp 350lb ft of torque the convertible is about the same price as the S2000. It's a powerful car with gobs of torque, I had a LT1 Z28. Not sure if you could beat him stock for stock.

Have you considered some type of penis enlargement procedure?

yu's suggestion of buying an SS sounds right on target in lieu of the surgery...

Nastinupe, thats too bad, but I would think that you would know by now not to mess with cars that are made for drag racing, and have a lot more hp/tq. Just for solidarity, when I did my first track day about a month ago, I kicked the shit out of a ss on one session, not to mention the cobra mustang or the 850 whatever(bmw v-12). You would think that all of these cars would pull on the s2000 pretty smartly on the main straight(accelerate from about 50 to 110), but because my car handles better than a shoping cart I was able to carry more speed out of the turn and they were unable to gain any lenghts on me. Plus I caught and passed the ss not once, but twice in the same session.

The s2000 is more car than most now how to drive, in the right arena. Learn how to drive your car and stop trying to street race every idiot you run into. See if that guy with the ss will hang with you on a road that isn't straight, it's only fair you raced were he had a clear advantage!! Before you spend money on mods, go to the track, you won't regret it.

This is to funny.

Beaten by a camaro has to hurt.

Can you imagine what it would have like from a dead stop?

I think I would anything over 6 cylinders if I was you.

Or only race through extremely twisty roads.

It's time to go back to the Z forum

I would say got out and invest $4.5k on a vortech sc setup and you should be able to hang with him on the freeway.
