Well, if he does have 450 whp he cant drive. I can race our S2K at any speed and it wont pull an inch, so if your pulling on him in first gear he needs to learn how to drive.

I have a Catback and drop in filter in my Evo and I can pull on our S2K easily. I have my downpipe and Intake ordered and will get the ecu reflashed next and I guarantee you, our S2K will get destroyed from any speed. It only takes 2-3K to get the Evo into the low 12's, so im wondering if he has an upgraded turbo or just telling you he does.

 

I'd say his big turbo took sometime to spool up (especially with our 2.0 liter motor). I've been in a WRX with huge turbo and that car pulls like Honda Civic before the turbo kicks in (at 4K rpm). The owner even lost a race with a Hyundai Tiburon from 5mph roll while he kept up with 420 whp Greddy TT 350Z at speed.

 

Well that might be true, but we used to have a GT35R on our MR2 that would start making good power about 4200 rpm, definitely enough power to pull away from an S2K.

I would assume that if the Evo knew he was gonna race, he'd be in 1st ready for the kill...oh well, thats why anything is unpredictable on the street
