Default STi vs STi

Blue w/ gold wheels vs. yes, Blue w/gold wheels.

I think removing my amber pieces on the headlamp and the muffler completely made a difference.

I am at a light...I notice a car with HIDs approaching the light....what could it be??? My freakin' twin! Awesome. We both roll windows and give each other s up....."nice car".... He asked me if I had an exhaust...I answered no (I didn't lie, I don't have one, I simply removed it).

We both get really good launches...I might have him by about 1/4 of a car, 2nd gear.....1/2 a car....3rd gear....I am ahead by a full car or so....4th....I pull away a little more...shut off. We pulled at the next light and decide to go the highway.

We go to a "designated spot"...looong stretch of highway with no traffic. We agree to go from 60mph.....similar results. By the time we hit 150 or so I had about 4 cars on him

My STi has 4,900 miles, his had 12,300 miles....his is bone stock, no stereo (why?)...I have about 20 lbs. worth of stereo stuff and no muffler.

He said he was going to remove this muffler this weekend.

You removed the muffler or cat? You definitely gained some power with that removal. And perhaps, you're a better driver than him too.

Damn, I guess the headlight mod really does add more power!!
I raced a STI a while ago, and I got schooled. But I had fun watching his exhaust tip shooting out flames though.
Note to self, intake, catless TBE, and 100% atmos. BOV=Fireballs and hell of show at night.

I only removed the muffler...all cats were left untouched. I am concerned about boost creep specially when removing the cats. I am hitting right at 1 bar, which is about 16-16.5 lbs....no boost creeps whatsoever.

The car is loud but it is NOT really too bad. It is tolerable and the sound can only be described as intoxicating. I left the STi tip on the end of the straight pipe so it is hard to tell unless you know about STi's...kind of a sleeper (if you have hearing aids of course).

Fran...this is supposed to be a good weekend weather wise....we can shoot for Sunday evening after autox..
