What exactly is that a picture of? It's not the 3-liter V6 from the Lincoln LS, which I believe is what the R&T article is about (I haven't read it yet, but I've heard about it).

I've also heard about somebody taking the blown V6 from a Thunderbird SuperCoupe and putting it in a Miata. Is that what this is a picture of?

There is a difference between being Ford engineered and a Ford owned subsidiary.

Actually the cobra's now run 4.6 liter DOHC V8's. The older 93 Fox style and sn95 94 and 95 Cobra's did have a 302 with cast iron GT40 heads --- but that statement would be more correct if it read.

You can get a Ford 302 installed in a miata as the 302 has been around for 30+ years in various forms.

Yes I drive those cars all the time and yes I dislike them very much. Aston Martin is a Jaguar, and Jaguar is a Ford.

 

Doesn't even really matter. Who care's if its faster? Lots of cars are faster. More power to them if it is... maybe Honda will make a 2.5l engine for the next S2K. Just gives them insentive to improve our baby's!

Nobody here looked at the picture very closely did they? May I bring your attention to the SUPERCHARGER on top of the V-8 crammed into that Miata?
