Arrow stupid V8's

I stopped over where all these local kids tend to hang out. Just wanted to see what they had for cars. I wasn't looking for a race or anything b/c my g/f was with me. Started talkin to all of them...blah blah blah real cool kids. And just for $h!ts n giggles I race this old school camaro. Don't remember what was done to it . We race a few times first one was around 60mph....I was in third gear (opppsss..we were at 75 but apparently slowed down n I didn't even noticed) we were dead even to 137mph. Second time around started in 40mph this times yess!!! Right gear...I was in 2nd pulled about 1 car length and stayed like that till god knows when.....Then we stopped at a gas station....(should of been there I live in maine n you'd think no one races but we had like 15 cars following us, it was kinda cool reminded me of days in orlando) There was a reason why we stopped at the gas station....dun dunn dunnn 01' Mustang GT....Dude told me he was stock other than those wide ass tires....But i didn't care I just wanted to have some fun. So Mustang n me up front. I was thinkin we were goin to do this on a roll but....nopppeee.....I basically STOPPED on the highway...kinda scared but...at the moment i wasn't really thinkin. I was about at 6500rpm and 1..2...3 .....???? fcukin car just dropped back down to like 4000rpm n im like..hmmm...I need more practice....n top it off stupid second gear again grinded....It's been off n on...don't know what's up with that but...I didn't take anything away from him...He beat me fair n square but he heard it too so wanted to race again....stop once again on the highway....1..2..3..same thing happen drop down in Rpm but it was pretty even for like 2 seconds then.....he started to pull hard...im like WTF?!?!?....It was about like 1 1/2 or 2 til like 80...then shut down....He waved and just went back home...I talked to one of them they told me he had I/E and changed his gears I think they said to 4.56.....but...*shrugs* oh well I need some F/I cuz only races I get are stupid V8's

Im thinkin I should drop the clutch next time and see how much my car likes that...I've never drop it at such a high RPM b/c of ppl's stories

If you are looking for a good shop you should try Twiztid aka scott from Ballistic Motorsports. He is located in Manchester NH which will be closer than any of the MA, CT, NY, NJ etc perf shops. He really knows his S2000's and is pretty easy to pay.

PM him or me if you want more details.

I'm reading this and I really think that 4.56's in your car, along with I/E and practice would do the job. If you're not used to launching the car (that's cool, we all had to learn somehow) then practice on your own. I never ever try something new during a race against someone, unless it was a friend and we're just testing.

Out here, the trick seems to be I/E, 4.56's, and AEMS (or some computer). Even N/A, this set-up is a huge difference over stock. Good luck and practice!
