Stopped at a light today when a covertible vette C5 pulls next to me. Some old man looks over and revs. So I let it loose at 6k when it turned green...but no hope, I started sucking his exhuast at 2nd...by 3rd he was looong gone...damn it! Why wasnt it a rainy day? Probably would have had a better chance.

of sliding into him? the backend usually gets squirelly when its dry if you launch around 7k rpm.. i couldn't imagine in the rain.. you'd be all over the place.

I don't think you'll slide in to him. At 6K+ in the rain, you're just gonna sit there, smoking your tires and bouncing off the rev-limiter. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with that.

I got to race a Vett from a light one time and the nose of my S was at his door all the way through 2nd. When I shifted to third it was like I forgot to step on the gas. I can't imagine what the ZO6 would be like.

I played with a Z06 while driving back from San Jose to San Francisco. We were constantly going up to the upper 120's (this was at midnight, so the roads were clear). Surprisingly, everytime we punched it I stayed ahead of him. He never once took the lead. One thing for sure is that it still had the dealer plates, so he probably didn't want to play "hard." Nevertheless, it still made me feel good knowing that I "schooled" this specific Z06. Heck, it made the drive a whole lot more fun and quicker. Latez!

I was think if it was raining and since the vette has super torque I would be able control my power better than he does...but I better pick on someone with my own engine size....like a focus! ha!

Vettes have traction control. We wouldn't have a prayer in the rain either.
