Default Thugs in Camaro

Driving home in my GS400 pulled up to a stoplight next to a new Camaro. Not an SS. Single exhaust. Couple of teenage thug types with the Sub thumping some moronic tune. Didn't want to mess with them, but some wisecrack about "Jap Trash" sent me over the edge. Took off with the VSC on so had a sluggish start but had 2 car lengths by 100 and pulling away.

The next day I ran into these two buffoons again. This time in the S2K. Same music, same attitude. Revving and turning up the music didn't drown out the scream of the S2K as I smoked them from the start. They gave up before we hit 80mph.

Hope I run into them again in my wife's Navigator.

Um, you just whupped ass on a V6. Twice. All those Camaro-Firebirds have single exhaust stock. They route the exhaust under the passengers feet so the car can sit lower. This means even the V8 has single exhaust. Kinda too much compromise in my mind. Sure are fast, though.

I wondered what they had under the hood. The SS's have a dual exhaust, right?

Z28s and Trans AMS both have dual exhausts from the factory, as does the SS. The only ones that came with single exhaust are the V6 models.

It always amuses me when someone feels the need to insult or belittle you for no apparent reason, especially when it's obvious they have no clue what they are talking about. Reminds me of this time when I was having some coffee with friends and the waitress, seeing my helmet, asks me what I ride. I told her what I had (well, I told her the bike I had taken that day...) and her response was: "couldn't afford a harley?" I really didn't know what to say to that...especially since I ride sportbikes...

Good kill either way, who cares what it was...it was their attitude, not their car, that needed a beating. Maybe it'll shut 'em up for a day or two.

I wonder how they would do against my wife's Navigator. It might be close.
Now real fun could be had taking 'em in a jap sleeper...like a turbo Legacy wagon, WRX wagon, Galant VR/4, etc. For bonus points, have a Calvin-pissing-on-Chevy-emblem sticker in the rear window.

You might want to refrain from using the word "Jap" considering this board is full of Japanese members

I had the same thing happen and is was a Trans Am- the dude rolls down his window looking at my s-2000 like it was a civic and says "leeeeet's go" I never thought I would launch my s2k but I had to see how it would fare. We have the left turn arrow lights here and it works like a Christmas Tree. Before the light turned green he was power braking and putting on quite a somke show burning both rear tires. The T/A looked and sounded intimidating sitting there smoking tires with the cocky ass thinking it would be an easy one! I dumped at 5500-6000 and hit the next three shifts perfectly at 9000 and I shut down at 90 mph (3-4 cars ahead). All he said at the next light was "man that thing is f____king fast! It was a great kill being the first time I shifted under race pressure in this car. The same morning I had some chick in a Grand Am checking the s2k out so hard all the traffic stopped and if I didn't yell at the last minute to her she would have rear-ended the stopped car if front of her. All in a day! Hope you Z guys get the same kind of attention, but I doubt it!
