Alright guys. Being new to this game, one of the things I stick to is knowing my place on the foodchain. People always ask me if I race hubby in his (N/A) C5 and always respond with "I'm not stupid." I know this from experience, but I obviously can't test drive them all.
So I'm curious..........aside from the obvious exotics, what other sports cars would be higher on the foodchain?

EVO VIII without a doubt. Of the few that are on the road, there are even fewer left stock. This thing makes ridiculous power, and has the chassis/handling/brakes/drivetrain to handle it easily.
Stock vs. stock and a straight-line race, here's a few I can think of:
all current BMW //M's
all current AMG Mercedes'
Supra TT
RX-7
3000GT VR-4
300ZX TT (I think this would be close)
WRX STi
EVO VIII
all LS1's/LS6's
Mustang Mach 1
'03 Cobra
'00-01 (did they make a '99?) Cobra
F-150 Lightning
On an autocross/road course, assuming equal drivers, I'm pretty sure the S2000 can beat at least half of those.

Supra, RX7 and ZX have similar acceleration, how are they close to the S?

Those are all mostly true, and not to mention the near exotics like the Porsches (except for the stock Boxsters), The R-series Jaguars, the Viper (duh), Aston Martins, the new Maseratis, the Panoz cars, and the real exotics like the (major duh) Lambos, the Ferraris, Lotus and such.
Of course I was talking about stock, newer cars. Too many variables when you introduce cars from different eras and modifications.
And there are also those cars you don't see in the States. The ones we wish we had in our market, although you would find a rare Skyline sighting here and there. Can you say Ford Focus?(RS...AWD turbo...Europe only)
Sorry, they call me car nut for a reason.

Maybe the Dodge SR-T will make them change their minds...
