Monday night (may 3rd) about 11 p.m. I was driving home from a buddys house, an old Dodge Charger pulled next to me. We were about to run when we saw about 10 cops with their lights on behind an 18 wheeler. After we passed all the cops I thought we had a clear run for sure, so we punched it. He had me by half a car till about 120 then I started to pull hard. I look down at my speed-o then looked back up and saw a cop on the shoulder about 50 yards ahead. The Charger hit the brakes hard but I knew it was too late so I stayed on the gas. A mile down the highway I exit going 135. It was all good until an unexpected curve came. I tried to make it but couldnt, I slid off the road down into a ditch, up the other side of the ditch then nailed the gaurd rail and flipped then came to rest after sliding on my top for about 25 feet. The cop showed up after I had crawled out. All I had was a bunch of cuts on my left forearm and a sore neck. I spent 7 embarrassing hours in jail. The next day I went to the crah site and saw that I snapped two woodin posts that hold up the gaurd rail and a third was leaning sideways.

All you other guys that street race need to know the chances you take when you race. Not hating at all, or im not saying ill never street race again but I will think twice the next time I get over 100 mph.

I am sorry to hear this and am glad you are okay. Street Racing is never safe but it happens everyday. I am guilty of it on somedays. I have totalled a car as well due to similiar circumstances and know what you are going though. Good Luck with the Legal Issues that will arrise and again, glad you are alive.

Wow! Sorry for your unfortunate situation. Of course, whenever a race is involved, there are always risks.

That's a horrible accident for sure. I'm so glad I don't street race often at all. Only once in a full moon, under ideal conditions.

 

That sucks, sorry to hear. But glad that you're okay. Hope everything works out for you. BTW, did the charger get busted too?

That sucks... I crashed my s2000 a couple months back, the claim got denied, etc. Very unpleasant, I was going 87 kicked the back wheels out from 3 going into 4th due to slightly wet weather conditions. I had to fix the car, no way was I gonna let that be the end... I had to much money into it.

Glad your alright, and 135 on an offramp Holy Sh!t... I'd never try out running police, but what's done is done.
