I was on my way to canton and i was going downa farely large hill when there was a dead animal so i swerved to miss it and my front right wheel caught the gravel putting me into a spin down the hill and my back end of the car nailed like a dirt wall and then throughing me back out on the road to the other side in a fence, man i have had so much bad luck with the road lately
I WILL HAVE PICS HOPEFULLY TOMORROW HERES WHAT IT USED TO LOOK LIKE:
unless it's a deer or cow or antelope or something big enough to come through the windshield..... I don't swerve even for *live* animals let alone dead animals. Was it really that big that you couldn't just run over it ? Sorry to hear about this, but if it was only a little racoon/possum/fox or something to that effect, then you should just never ever swerve.
If it was something real big, then disregard everything i've said and there really was not much else you could have done. Either way, i'm sorry to hear about your crashed stook, but glad to know your without a scratch.

cause and effect, if i hit even a small animal,, i am 4" or so off the ground mind u and it will possilby pull front end under car causeing maybe even worse accident
actually that's not true....your front lip isn't THAT weak man.....I had a car slammed on springs/shocks with a really low front lip that was actually not installed perfectly(damn steeda) and I mowed down a family of possums crossing the highway(4 in total) late one night on the sawgrass at, lets just say very high speeds. Had I tried to swerve or hit the brakes at these speeds I would have caused serious damage to myself.
moral of the story: don't swerve for little animals, you can cause major damage doing this, possibly to other people on the road as well....it's just not worth it, learn your lesson and put it behind you.
