Default Turbo AP1 vs '18 mustang's, EVO8 & EVOX

Went out with a bunch of locals the other night and ran quite a few times with multiple cars.. 2 2018 5.0 mustang's really surprised me. I know these new 5.0s are killer, and I've raced a few '15-'16s, but is there something extraordinary with the 2018s?

So we had the following cars out:
my car is a '00 turbo S2000 with around 500WHP, unknown exact numbers with new tune/mods.
an EVO8 with a stroke built motor and Shep driveline, gutted interior but still on a stock frame turbo (FP stock frame turbo). Car is said to make 485WHP.
an EVOX with a stock block other than head studs with a GTX35 said to make 505WHP.
an unknown modded new gen CTSV said to be a 10.8-10.9 car, with a "drag pack".
a 2018 Mustang GT automatic.
a 2018 Mustang GT manual.

I ran all cars but the CTSV, as he showed up as I was leaving. I beat the EVO8 by about 2 buses from 20-140, 2x.
I beat the EVOX by about 3 buses from 20-140, once.
I beat the auto mustang by a fender, 2x. And that fender was only what I jumped at the honks due to his car downshifting, we stayed dead even the whole way up to 140 after the jump.
I beat the manual mustang by a half car at 140, 2x. We were dead even until 115ish when he went into 4th and I started to sail away in my 4th. Started at a 20 roll.

the 2 mustang's went on to pull buses on both EVOs as well from 20 rolls, then went on to beat the CTSV from 20 rolls.

these new mustang's on the juice from the factory? Both cars were new this week, with under 500 miles on each and no mods.

You should have handled the 5.0 pretty easily. Nice runs though.

I may have been heat soaking by the time I got to them. Probably going to rerun them this weekend. I'm not positive though, considering the other cars they put a hurting on.
