Turbo in Town, first night encounters.
Well, I didn't have anything entirely that close, this car is a monster. Plus I'm still trying to break it in and get a better feel for it while staying safe. I'm not one for racing around weaving through traffic and such. Usually I'll cruise around and get the 2-3 second races. With this car, it's all it takes..
Modded Prelude: Comes onto the street from a highway exit, rolling about 20, I hear the exhaust start to warm up, so I punch it (in 2nd gear). 2 seconds later, 5+ lengths. Spun my tires a little bit.
PT Prowler: Pulls up behind me waiting for a chance to pass, I move into the right lane, and he zooms up next to me pausing for a second and then we punch it.. The car actually pulled on me about a quarter of a car until my turbo spooled up (I think I was in 2nd again, @ about 20mph), 2-3 second race, maybe to 50-60 mph. 2-3 lengths before a red light ahead.
New M3: Older gent, very nice car (first I've seen). We were pulling out on to the highway, raced from maybe about 50mph to 85 or so.. that car certainly is quick (probably my favorite sedan, maybe the s4 though..), but it really wasn't much of a race. 5+ lengths in ~5 seconds. I gave him the thumbs up and he nodded and we parted ways.
Big Truck, maybe an F350? This was the most fun I've had in a LONG time. This truck was heavily modded, I couldn't quite hear the guys inside - I could hear a very high pitched turbo inside (doesn't that generally mean a smaller turbo? quicker spooling, etc?) when he'd punch it. We raced about 7 times, and honestly, I think this truck would beat a stock s2k. We would race from a stop (I would let him get a few lengths because I'm just not into the axle/dif/clutch strain just yet) and zoom past, or we would race from 70mph to 90 or so - 70mph starts is where his truck excels he says.. We'd start together and his turbos would spool up right away, and about a third of a second to a full second later, I'd be fully spooled up and just zoom past.
I'm definitely interested in seeing things in days to come, obviously while staying safe and keeping things within reason with regards to the speed limit and surrounding traffic and such.
This car is a monster. And it's not even tuned yet.

Dammit Chris,
You are killin' me.... stop rubbing it in
Is there a date set when you are scheduled to take it back in to Speedcraft to get it tuned?
PS. I'm sure you know your vehicles - Could the truck possibly have been a Lightning? They run stock Superchargers...
Cheers,

Well, there are many different MSD boxes, not sure which one they're using - but most of them say "Not legal for sale or use on emission controlled vehicles." on their web site. I'm sure they can correct me if I'm wrong.
