While out on a pleaseurly cruise today I ran into a traffic jam on the local highway so I took a side road to get around it. While turning onto the side road I look in my rearview mirror after hearing a loud "PRSSHT!" and see a white something or other with a vented hood, not sure exactly what it was but it's wasn't anything that was MY2000+. A younger guy was driving, younger than me anyway (I'm 28) and was right on my rear, he went into oncoming traffic and let his BOV go for some idiotic reason and then swerved back in behind me.
The side road is a very twisty, curvy road with little to no traffic at anytime of the day. I'm not much into the street racing thing but I do enjoy some spirited driving when the road allows it and I tend to prefer the curves. This is my normal way of driving and I had no intention of inciting a race, I was just doing what I normally do. So, I bring up the speed a bit to about 55 and I whip around a fairly tight right turn and accelerate out. The kid in the white turbo'd thingy that was riding my butt decides to try and pull the same move.
It didn't go so well for him. When coming out of the turn his rears broke loose. His rear end swung out to the left and he over compensated the steering and his front end swung to the right and he did a 360 in the middle of the road and stopped in a cloud of smoke, nearly hitting a telephone pole. I kept going and he finally recovered, went up the street, turned around and came up behind me looking a little embarrased.
My wife was with me and she missed the shot of him sideways in the street but got a not so good picture of his rear end when he was going up to turn around. I know it'll be tough, but what does this rear end look like?
