Late night going to walmart with my friends to pick up some snacks for a BBQ tomorrow. We go together in our cars because hes headin to his girls house after. So long story short we see our friends there with his M3 that says he has chipped. We talk for a while and hes pretty damn sure he can take both of us, was acting a little cocky.

So we head out on the freeway (bare in mind that its super late and we have the whole thing to ourselves).

We go from a 40 roll M3 in the middle and us on the outsides. Bam we hit it on the third honk (m3 honks).
I start taking BOTH of them.. my bretheren and the M3 surprisingly by the end of 3rd im up about a car and end of forth im ahead by almost two cars. and the best part the other s2k also had about a car on him. Same outcome the two times we did it. But the last one we really went all out and tapped the beginning of 6th gear same outcome.

We pull over and have a chat said he didnt expect that coming haha both of us got him two in a row. Hes a good friend of ours since high school so hes not a dick about it. just got some respect for the "S".

 

It's always nice to race friends. Especially when you win; you get the convenience of rubbing it in without getting into a fistfight lol.

no stock or slightly modded s2k will take a stock e46 m3 from a digg or from a stop or from a roll

 

a stock or slightly modded s2k CAN take a stock e46 from a dig or roll...............when the e46 driver sucks at driving

 

The convertible E46 M3s are significantly heavier than the coupes making them slower. Good kill regardless

Convertible M3's are exceptionally slower than there coupe counterparts, we're talking close to a 400lb difference between an E46 M3 vert & a M3 coupe. A E46 M3 convertible has about 950 pounds on a AP1 s2000. Also same goes for the E93 M3 weighing a whole lot heavier than a E92/90 M3

 

No i have a test pipe and that's all. Cars motor very healthy though.

And yess the M3 also had some mods but i can tell the weight of it was too much for its own good. In sixth gear he EVER SO SLOWLY was gaining some ground back I THINK. LOL

 

A bolt on s2k would be a drivers race against a stock e46 m3. I work with a guy that has a coupe and i beat him by at least 2 cars with my kpro'd and cam'd rsx making 235whp.... he was shocked by how fast the rsx was

 

K-pro on those "K" motors really do ALOT with breather mods, especially if you had cam's that alone makes that car MOVE.

 

I seriously doubt a 'bolt on' S2K is going to pick up 6ish mph in the quarter which is what it would need for an E46 M3 coupe that isn't being driven by a moron. The convertibles are significantly slower than the coupes but when a non FI'd S2K beats an E46 M3 coupe it's generally because it was poorly driven.
