Default Type R Vs S2000

With all this s2000 vs Type R talk going on I thought I would give my side...My friend has a 95' special edition, with a jap spec type R motor swap...I/E/H, clutch/flywheel, VAFC2, the car has some weight reduction, and ground controll suspension...We were next to each other the other night and we decided to give it a go...

My comps being slow so who won? I took out a modded Type R on the freeway but it was close, they are pretty fast modded. Oh and what mods does your s2k have?

Very nice vid! Clear!

Nice run! It was a fair start and you won. As for the people who've said it's a close race between a stock S vs. stock ITR, In my experience, not even close.

Hi, first post here. Been lurking for awhile, but never signed up.

blessed im glad you shed sone light on this race forme because there is a certain s2000 *coughredlinedriftcough*owner proclaiming that this is a turbo type r that you raced, and proceeded to walk.

this s2000 owner also is furiously insistent that he will walk me from a roll and will run 12's with his mods. Which are: I/E/4.77 gears/weight redux (200 lbs) or so he claims, which i think is far fetched.

I drive an EVO VIII with MBC@ 21 psi, dynoflash, intake, muffler delete pipe, and fuel pump.

i ran 12.82 @ 105.5 with these mods and race gas.

everyone on a local board is calling his bluff, but he insists on talking smack and never backing it up. His only timeslip is a 13.9 @ 10X.x and that was with an intake. So tellme does an exhaust gears and some weight redux really take a second or more off your times?

No, but he's good for low 13's, if he's a good driver, and it looks like he's a decent driver with getting a 13.9 out of a stock S. There are drivers who have gotten lower times out of stock S2K's.

his S wasnt stock

he had an intake and it was about 50 degrees outside when he ran 13.9
Intake does crap to S2000, mostly.
