The race hasnt encountered yet, however I was just wondering everyone's opinion about this race--my s2000 vs a 2000 bmw 328ci vs a Subaru Wrx 2002 wagon. Both owners of the last two cars mentioned that they would smoke me. I told that the race with the wrx would be close, but the 328 the potential for 1-2 car lengths was easy. Am I an idiot, or do they just not know what they are talking about?

BTW the conversation occured at a party--and this girl that came with me to the party was like "You couldnt beat a BMW--they are all fast cars" That is probably the stupidest comment I've ever heard.

 

The WRX wagon is a little slower than the regular WRX. If you launch well, you can probably beat him. The 328ci is around 220hp and 3400lbs, so you should have no problem beating it.

 

If you're a decent driver, go kick all of their asses. Easy kills!

 

watch out that the wrx hasn't done a reflash on their ecu. they can download a program that reflashes their ecu to 285hp and 285tq. But if everyone is stock you should pull on them. The wrx would be my biggest concern.

 

I watched ... in amazement as a WRX lost in a roll-on to a stock RX8 the other day from 30-110ish.

 

 

ya one of my first races was against my buddy's 2003 wrx and it wasn't pretty...started from a dig..he got a good launch on me but i caught up in second vtec...once i hit 3rd vtec pulled a car then 4th kept pulling ended about 3 car lengths ahead by the time we both let off...and his wrx isn't a wagon so u shouldn't have any problems also i was bone stock and he had intake and exhaust and lighter wheels..also u shouldn't have any problems with against the 3400 lb bmw...go smoke them...don't screw tho

 

Wait, are we racing to see who spent the most money on their cars? Cuz thats the only race the 328ci is going to win.

Assuming all cars are stock and driven by equal drivers, the WRX would be a close race with the S2000 giving the WRX an edge from a dig cuz of the AWD but the S2000 should have the edge from a roll. The further/faster you go the advantage should swing to the S2000 too, the WRX Wagon isn't all that fast in the 1/4 mile. Esp. if its an automatic.

The 328ci ... would be left in both the S2000 and WRX's dust. It shouldn't even be close, unless you both suck at driving.

 

Hey I appreciate everyone's input--I'll have to tell my friends about this. By the way, all three cars are stock--no one has done a thing. I was sure that the 328 wouldn't have a chance, however I wasnt so sure about the wrx.

The Wagon would put up a decent fight till about mid to top of 3rd gear for you, then you start pulling away like a mad man...

Against the BMW 328 ci, i , xi, fbi , hbo, whatever those letters mean, you will smoke them. The last person I raced with the 328, I put about 4-5 cars , and he was modded
