Default Walked an Evo on the Freeway

Probably an '03 Silver Evo... Dropped it down to fourth, we were going about 75mph or so, and got up to his door... Heard him downshift and we both nailed it. Pretty even for a second or two, hit Vtec and started walking past him. Shut down around 105.

We actually did 2 pulls. The first pull he didn't downshift, and I walked away from him pretty good. The second time he definitely downshifted and it was much more even, but I still walked away from him.

I've heard the 05's are much quicker, and that it's not unusual to be able to walk a pre-05 on the freeway from 70-110... Am I wrong? The puff of smoke and spool of turbo sure seemed like he was balls to the wall.

Nope...it's close in an AP2 but looks like he's running an AP1. 75 is about mid way through third gear for an AP1 and would thus be the most fun to shift into (owned both and miss the 90mph in third as the AP2 is only good to 78 in third)

I'm about 98% percent sure that 75 mph is right at 6k for my car. Will see tomorrow and come back with results. But I'm gonna make ya eat your words if I'm right...
