2 things, what year is your car? and what clutch do you have?
you have to decide where to launch by the surface. if its smooth, leave a tad lower, if its way rough, leave high. either way, the goal with a small motor car such as this, is to leave and have the wheels spinnin, yet grabbing as they go, so not too much wheelspin. its a technique called clutching, no it has nothing to do with your clutch, thats the name for the tactic to having the tires hook every other or every third rotation. the car will set (rear end drops) and yet the tires will spin, keeping the rear end planted yet your going forward fast as hell. this is the ideal launch. bogging is no good, and having to backpedal is no good. so, just practice, if you have an ap2, youll be alot better off, if its ap1, its much harder to launch, as the gears are too high. anyways. PM if you have any questions.

I launch my Ap1 at 5500rpm, not right on vtec but right there after it takes off. 3k-4k launch are way too low and you'll get raped, you can try launching at 5500rpm and not stomp all the way down 'til it starts to grab then floor it to avoid too much wheel spin. I did that when my tires were shitty, no tractions and it just burns when I floor it after launching so this techique comes in handy. Hope this helps but everyone has their own opinion so try what's best for you, a'ight...
One way that I have found to get out of the dig with little to no bog is to rev it up to 6-6.5k hold the ebrake up so you can let out of the clutch slightly ( just to put some tension on the rear end...this means less "shock factor" less slippage and less damage on your diff) And whenever you drop the clutch you will see some spinnage all the way to 6k VTEC...and youre set...No bog...great jump off the line...Try it out..and dont forget to put tension on the diff.
