Heh heh! I'm still laughing about this one.

I just went out to get some things at the drug store, and pulled up at a light behind a Trans Am with aftermarket pipes. I was minding my own business (Honest!), and this guy sees me in his rearview mirror and starts revving his engine at me.

What really tee'd me off is his car was blowing smoke and crap all over my hood. The light turned green, and he dumped the clutch. I can off the line hard behind him, and immediately pulled up along side his passenger door before I was out of first.

I grabbed 2nd gear, and backed off the gas to stay even with him for a second. He looked over, so I waved at him. He gave me a dirty look, so I hammered it, finished off 2nd, grabbed 3rd, and went heavy on the brakes, since he was back quite a bit.

I waved again, out the window, and he flew by me, flicking me off in the process.

His car must have been an LT-1, because I can't pull anywhere even close to that on an LS-1, but damn I was amused.

Oh yeah, I was driving my 996.

 

why do you post here...i don't give a phuck about your porsche...and if you continue to, at least put reference to your porsche in your title so i don't read your thread thinking it's an S2000 race

 

I post here for the same reason you do: Good people.

If you don't like my posts, then don't read them when you see me as the starter of the thread.

Dude, I try to ignore that *edit*, but it doesn't work if you keep quoting him!

 

Us non-S2000 owning types that just like cars in general post here because the people seem to be pretty cool and knowledgeable, with less a$$holes than most of the other major boards.

Of course, there's always someone that proves to be the exception....

Andy, tell the one about how you couldn't hang with 4 S2000s and a 350Z, you were able to hang with the Z28 though
